At a glance from the street this appears to be a small 1930s cottage. To the rear the garden is two metres lower than the front elevation. The design involved modernisation of the house, internal modifications and a significant extension to the south. The cottage now connects into the garden, facing south, and creates a split level arrangement inside where the users spill down and into a bright sunny living space and garden terrace. A standing seam zinc roof covers the parabolic surface is a fitting cap to the modern appearance from the rear.
